Moss tabletop decor

It’s Recessionista Week on Bridal Banter! Celebrity wedding planner Yifat Oren tells us how you can steal a look from a lavish wedding she planned while sticking to your budget. Enter our contest, and tell us your own budget wedding ideas.

The Look

For a fairytale-like “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” wedding, mounds of moss placed directly on the Dupioni silk table linens served as table centerpieces. Whimsical candelabras resembling silver-plated manzanita branches were placed in the moss. Soft, romantic flowers, such as lily of the valley, white garden roses and purple hydrangea dotted the moss mounds.

Steal It

For a beautiful, understated centerpiece, fill a few interesting pots or one simple wooden box with mounds of moss. Accent the centerpiece with securely placed candlesticks, as well as one or two lush peonies. Tie the moss decor into other elements of the wedding by sticking each guest’s escort card into tiny pots of moss.
