It’s Recessionista Week on Bridal Banter! Celebrity wedding planner Yifat Oren tells us how you can steal a look from a lavish wedding she planned while sticking to your budget. Enter our contest, and tell us your own budget wedding ideas.
The Look
Clear glass pedestals in varying sizes are filled with a mix of fuchsia garden roses and succulent leaves inspired by the bride’s bouquet. Each centerpiece is pieced together by hand. The pedestals repeat down a long table, which is also accented with candle-filled hurricane lanterns and glass globes with floating candles.
Steal It
Scour thrift shops for vintage pedestal containers. Succulents such as echeveria are readily available and can be planted in advance with minimal maintenance. Intersperse pillar candles in glass cylinders among the succulent pedestals and pull the look together by tying a small succulent onto the cylinders with thin wire. Forgo the pricier roses.
