At a vineyard-inspired wedding, guests dined at dark wood tables beneath a custom-built wooden arbor. The arbor featured manzanita branches, grapevines and lush florals, such as parrot tulips and peonies, which were carefully placed to look as if they had grown there. Centerpieces were composed of various fruits such as grapes, kiwis, pears, blood oranges, figs and pomegranates.
Many rental companies offer long, wooden tables which, though more expensive than a standard folding table, are beautiful and don’t require sometimes costly linens. Focus on rich, deep colors rather than traditional whites and ivories; for example, use burgundy candles and amber votives. Fruit with interesting colors and textures can take the place of costlier flowers in the centerpieces.
