Here’s the second installment of celebrity wedding planner Yifat Oren’s take on wedding trends with staying power.
Succulents are a recent trend that I love, especially because they are so eco-friendly. They can be replanted so easily — you just stick them in the ground. Succulents can be incorporated into your decor in so many ways — mixed into a bridal bouquet, stuck in small pots as favors or used to adorn the cake in place of flowers.
Cheese Course for Dessert
This is a trend I never get tired of: ending a meal on a savory note by serving a gourmet cheese course. I like to serve the cheese course family-style and incorporate a blue cheese, goat cheese, triple crème cheese and a hard cheese, as well as quince paste and nuts or some grapes. You can still have your wedding cake, which can be served later in the evening.
Customized Dance Floor
Dance floors can really tie together the look of a room, so I like to customize them to each event rather than use a standard wood parquet floor. Glossy dance floors are becoming quite popular because they reflect light so beautifully and come in a range of colors. Ivory and chocolate brown always look gorgeous.
