This July Los Angeles wedding of Annette and Aaron pulled off an impressive combination of whimsy and sophistication. Here’s the lowdown from bride Annette:
My initial idea was to have an outdoor garden style wedding since it would be in the summertime, but after we started looking at venues we decided it just didn’t fit. We wanted something a little different and definitely more modern, crisp and clean.
We both fell in love with the Skirball Cultural Center’s Ahmanson Hall as soon as we walked in. The super-high ceilings with the white panels were so elegant and just took our breath away. The ceremony area was also perfect — it was outdoors like we wanted, but the surrounding buildings gave it that twist.
I love round shapes, (polka dots, bubbles, circles, etc.), so everything I looked at or liked just naturally gravitated towards this theme. Our colors were navy blue, green and white. Blue is my favorite color, and I just love the way green and white added a fresh clean feel for the summer.
